We storyboard before animating, because reordering a storyboard costs minutes and reordering a finished render costs days. Deliverables come sized for each destination rather than one master that gets awkwardly cropped, and you get the project files alongside the exports.

With agencies we lock the storyboard and the script with you before any animation begins, because that is the stage where changes are still cheap. Final delivery includes each platform's required aspect ratios and a version with and without captions, so the same asset works across paid and organic without a re-export.
